About Us

Boy Scout Troop 419
Troop 419 is a member of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) which is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, promotes citizenship involvement and develops personal fitness.

For more than a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Troop 419 is dedicated to teaching young men the skills they will need to be prepared for life's many challenges and to encouraging them to remain physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. Chartered in 1981 to Duluth First United Methodist Church, Troop 419 instills the principles of Scouting through high-adventure outdoor activities and achievement-centered skill building.

Troop 419 is a Youth-Led Troop and serves the youth from the surrounding communities. Troop 419 proudly supports the activities of local Cub Scout packs as well.
